I started a document to track my progress for the final project (Three Sides Project), due 20th Jan 2022.
The visualization isn’t good, but basically I got 12 weeks to finish the project.
Couple of things about the project to keep in mind:
Limitations
1. A maximum of one pre-rigged character, resources will be supplied via Moodle.
2. A single environment or setting.
3. No single shot should exceed 6 seconds.
Project Requirements
1. Three animated, rendered or interactive 3D shots of 5 seconds or more. Camera animation is welcome, but it does not alone count towards your animation requirements.
2. Three-paragraph creative writing piece that expands your sequence.
3. Weekly project updates posted in your blog.
4. A character or object that can fill the role of the character.
5. A rendered video sequence, uploaded and time-stamped, uploaded to your blog or submitted via Moodle if within the size limit.
Approach
1. Research
2. Write a 3-paragraph creative writing piece on your chosen scene and story.
3. Storyboard your concept in three images with description of actions.
4. Get your idea approved by your instructor.
5. Create a mood board using Pure Ref to organize your inspiration and references.
6. Plan your time and create a calendar and Trello page.
7. Build your scene in 3D, animate, light, texture, and render.
8. Render your scene and post the final video to your Blog.
